Winter and spring: pack layers, then expect a warmer May
December to February is Kemer's least suitable period for a beach holiday. January days average 10°C, while January and February nights fall to 4°C, so bring a warm layer and waterproof rather than relying on light holiday clothes. December has 12 rain days, making flexible outdoor plans sensible. March improves to 14°C by day, but the sea remains at 14°C: brighter weather does not yet mean comfortable swimming for most travellers. April's 18°C days are useful for being outdoors without summer heat, although evenings still need a jacket. May feels substantially warmer at 24°C, with 9 hours of sunshine. Its catch is the sea at 18°C, which can still feel brisk even when the afternoon feels warm.
Summer: reliable beach weather, with a midday heat trade-off
June brings a useful middle ground before the hottest weather: daytime averages reach 29°C and the sea warms to 22°C. It suits travellers who want swimming weather but would rather avoid the peak summer temperatures. July and August both average 32°C by day and 21°C at night, so do not expect evenings to feel cool. Each averages just 1 rain day, making these the strongest choices if avoiding rain matters most. The catch is the heat during the middle of the day: plan more active time for mornings, keep shade breaks in mind and pack light clothing. July's 13 hours of sunshine also make sun protection a daily consideration.
Autumn: September keeps the swimming warmth
September retains much of summer's appeal with less heat: days average 27°C, nights 18°C and the sea 22°C. With 3 rain days, it is a good fit for travellers who want beach time without July and August's hotter afternoons. October is more changeable, but its 21°C days and 20°C sea can still suit a mix of swimming and time outdoors. Bring a layer for evenings and allow room for showers, with 6 rain days on average. November shifts the balance away from beach holidays: days ease to 16°C, nights to 9°C and rain becomes more frequent. Choose it for cooler conditions, not dependable sunbathing weather.
