Resorts in Ibiza

Each resort has its own page with a 12-month table.

Winter into spring: layers first, swimming later

December averages 16°C by day, while January and February sit at 15°C: comfortable enough for a walk with suitable layers, but not dependable sunbathing weather. January and February nights average 10°C, so bring a jacket rather than relying on light holiday clothes. Rain is a possibility throughout winter, making a waterproof useful. March lifts daytime temperatures to 18°C, April reaches 20°C and May feels warmer at 23°C. This gradual warming makes spring a good fit for travellers who want to spend time outdoors without planning around midday heat. The catch is the sea: even in May it averages 18°C, so warm air does not yet mean comfortable swimming for everyone. May evenings also call for a layer, with nights averaging 16°C.

Summer: the strongest choice for heat and sea swimming

June offers a useful balance: days average 28°C, the sea reaches 22°C and rain is infrequent. It suits travellers who want summer warmth without the higher temperatures of July and August. Those months both average 31°C by day, making shade and a slower pace sensible around midday. July has the most sunshine, averaging 12 hours daily, and is the driest month. August brings the warmest sea at 26°C, but nights averaging 23°C offer limited relief from the heat. Pack light clothes, sun protection and something to cover up with. Choose June if heat affects your sleep; choose July or August if warm water matters more than cooler evenings.

Autumn: warm water lingers as rain becomes more likely

September keeps much of summer's warmth, with days averaging 27°C and the sea still at 25°C. It is a strong choice for swimming without peak summer heat, although its 5 rain days mean outdoor plans need some flexibility. October is milder at 23°C by day, with a 22°C sea that may still feel comfortable for a swim. Evenings average 18°C, so a light layer becomes useful. November shifts towards cooler-weather travel: days average 18°C, nights 14°C and the sea falls to 19°C. It is also the wettest month. Go earlier in autumn if swimming is central to your holiday, and later if mild daytime conditions matter more.
