Resorts in Rhodes

Each resort has its own page with a 12-month table.

December to February: mild days, wetter plans

Winter suits a trip built around flexible outdoor time rather than swimming and sunbathing. December averages 16°C by day, falling to 14°C in January and February, so mild does not mean reliably warm. January and February nights average 11°C: bring layers and a jacket rather than relying on summer clothing. December and January each average 12 rain days, easing to 10 in February, making waterproofs useful throughout the season. Sunshine is more limited than in warmer months, though there is still scope to spend time outside between showers. The sea cools through winter, so this is not the best period if comfortable swimming is your main aim.

March to June: easier outdoor days, then swimming weather

March and April are better suited to walking than lingering in the water: daytime averages rise from 16°C to 18°C, but the sea stays at 17°C. Pack layers for evenings and keep a light waterproof handy, as rain remains part of the picture. May offers a useful middle ground, with 22°C days, fewer rainy days and a 20°C sea, though the water may still feel brisk. June marks the clearer shift towards a swimming holiday: days average 26°C and the sea reaches 23°C, with no rain days in the monthly average. That is not a guarantee of uninterrupted dry weather, but it makes June a strong choice for outdoor plans. Plan shade breaks around midday.

July to November: peak warmth, then a gradual cooling

July and August suit travellers who want hot days and warm evenings, but midday is better for shade than sustained activity. July averages 28°C by day; August is hotter, and its 27°C sea is the warmest of the year. Nights stay warm, so light clothing is useful after sunset. September retains much of summer's warmth with little rain, making it a good compromise for swimming without the highest daytime temperatures. October still offers 23°C days and a 24°C sea, although showers become more likely. By November, days average 19°C and rain is more frequent. The sea remains relatively warm, but cooler air and wetter weather make a swim-focused holiday less dependable.
