Resorts in Corfu

Each resort has its own page with a 12-month table.

Spring: comfortable days, but swimming comes later

March is still cool, with daytime averages of 14°C and 11 rainy days, so pack layers and a waterproof rather than relying on sunshine. April improves to 17°C, making time outdoors more comfortable, though rain remains a regular possibility. The sea averages only 16°C then, which is chilly for relaxed swimming. May is the better spring compromise: days reach 20°C, evenings average 16°C and rain becomes less frequent. Its 8 hours of daily sunshine give outdoor plans more scope, but the 19°C sea still feels fresh. Choose May for mild weather rather than a holiday centred entirely on swimming.

Summer into September: the best stretch for swimming

June offers a useful balance of warmth and relatively little rain, with days averaging 24°C and the sea reaching 23°C. July is the driest month and has the most sunshine, averaging 13 hours daily, so plan shade breaks around midday. August is hottest, with daytime averages of 28°C and nights of 24°C; light clothing and somewhere comfortable to sleep matter more than warm layers. The sea also reaches its warmest monthly average at 26°C. September eases back to 24°C by day while the water stays at 25°C, making it a strong swimming option. The catch is rain: September averages 8 rainy days, compared with 2 in July, so keep outdoor plans flexible.

Autumn and winter: lingering warmth, then wetter weather

October still offers warmth, averaging 21°C by day with a 22°C sea, but 10 rainy days make it less dependable for a beach-focused trip. November drops to 17°C and is the wettest month, so a waterproof and flexible plans become essential. December cools further to 13°C, with 14 rainy days and limited sunshine. January and February both average 12°C by day and 9°C at night: mild enough for time outside in suitable layers, but not reliably warm. February's sea is down to 14°C, so casual swimming is unlikely to appeal. This part of the year suits travellers content to work around showers, rather than those wanting long, warm days outdoors.
